Let’s take a throwback to the time when Rashmika Mandanna was trolled online for her statement regarding South and Bollywood music comparison at a promotional event related to her film ‘Mission Majnu’. For those not in the know, Rashmika had made her debut with ‘Kantara’ actor Rishabh Shetty’s production house. Her gesture about not mentioning the production house or Shetty’s name in an interview, left fans irked.

During ‘Mission Majnu promotions’, Rashmika stated, Bollywood has the legacy of romantic songs whereas down South it’s basically all masala songs and item numbers. Netizens irked over it.
Rashmika was promoting Mission Majnu’s song Rabba Janda along with Sidharth Malhotra when Rashmika said, “For me, when I was growing up, romantic songs meant Bollywood romantic songs.”

She further said, “In the south we have all mass masala songs, item numbers and dance numbers. This is my first Bollywood romantic song from the film ‘Mission Majnu’. I am excited because it’s so good and I am waiting for you all to listen to it,” Rashmika continued. She was schooled by netizens after this.
Some remembered how her roots are from south, while others said it was ‘praising Bollywood’ since she signed more projects there.
