Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are serving couple goals and fans are so invested in their dreamy love story that it could well be made into a romcom. Here’s all the details about this whirlwind romance!
It all started in 2016 when Kelce played ‘Kiss Marry, Kill’ in an interview where the choices were Taylor, Ariana and Katy Perry. He had answered, “Ariana is kill, unfortunately. I love you, but you’re gone. And then Taylor Swift would be the kiss, and then Katy Perry would be the—what’s the last one? Katy Perry would be the marry.” The interview resurfaced in 2023 as their dating rumours began.
In July 2023, Kelce attended Taylor’s concert in Kansas City and here’s what he had said to the media. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her. If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are a friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it. All right now,” said Kelce and that’s what started this romance.
It was post this concert, in September 2023, when this romance kickstarted with a series of events. The Messenger had reported at that point in time that Taylor and Swift have been secretly hanging out. Kelce brother Jason had appeared on the TNF’s Nightcap’s post game interview where he was asked about it and his comments added more fuel to these dating rumours. He had said that he doesn’t know what’s going on but his brother Travis is having fun.
It all got official when the pair had a very public date at the US Open where they were captured kissing. They were also seen holding hands and going for dinner at a restaurant that same event.
Recently, there were rumours of them breaking up but they have slammed these rumours. They are very much together. A source had said TMZ, that they remain a couple.
The source had further said, “They both see marriage as something they want sooner rather than later, and they both want kids. Taylor has always [been excited by] the idea of marriage and starting a family. She just hadn’t found The One until now.”
