On Sunday, October 20, social media was abuzz with images of anti-fans sending funeral wreaths to HYBE, reigniting tensions within the fandom.
These wreaths were accompanied by malicious notes, with some labelling the 30-year-old rapper a criminal and others insisting on his exclusion from the best-selling boy band.
The sight of funeral wreaths outside HYBE’s official building quickly garnered attention online, but BTS fans rallied to counter the negativity with overwhelming support for their idol.
The BTS ARMY trended hashtags on X, emphasising their desire to keep BTS as a seven-member group.
For the unversed, this is not the first time such incidents have occurred. Since Suga’s DUI case made headlines in August, anti-fans have been protesting, sending wreaths, and even using protest trucks to demand his removal.
However, true fans have showed their utmost support, launching a worldwide purple project to show their solidarity with the idol.
