The Golden State Warriors are heading into an NBA season filled with uncertainty for the storied franchise, as they saw star guard Klay Thompson leave the team in free agency this summer and were unable to replace him with another star, with trade talks for Lauri Markkanen falling apart.

Although the Warriors did add veteran shooter Buddy Hield to the mix in San Francisco, Golden State could struggle this season, and superstar guard Stephen Curry’s recent injury to his right index finger didn’t help things.

With Curry being arguably the greatest shooter of all time, with that being the best part of his game, injuring his index finger is concerning, to say the least.

Ahead of the preseason game against the division-rival Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, Curry was asked about his injured index finger and said he would play tonight via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

“I can’t reinjure it unless I do something crazy. So I’m fine,” Curry said.

After tonight’s game at T-Mobile Arena in Sin City, the Warriors will have only one more preseason game left to play before heading into the regular season on Oct. 23 against the Portland Trail Blazers on the road at the Moda Center.

The Warriors will play the Lakers in their preseason finale on Oct.18 back in San Francisco at the Chase Center, where it would be a safe bet to assume that Curry won’t play against Los Angeles, especially if he is bothered by the finger injury tonight in Las Vegas.
