Shalini Passi recalls how husband Sanjay Passi’s family gatecrashed her friend’s wedding to see her: “It was an arranged marriage but…” – Times of India

Shalini Passi has recently captured the spotlight with her vibrant personality on the series ‘Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives.’ As one of the new entrants in the show alongside Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kalyani Saha, she has captured the hearts and attention of viewers who are curious to know more about her life.
In an interview with Brut India, she shared the charming story of how she met her husband, businessman Sanjay Passi, revealing that their love story began in an unexpected way at a wedding. She recounted the day she was attending a friend’s sister’s wedding when her life took a turn. During the event, a few girls approached her with curious questions: “Are you married?” and “Are your parents coming to the mehendi ceremony?” Shalini replied that her parents would arrive later in the evening. Excited by this information, the girls rushed back to their mother, exclaiming, “We found the perfect girl for Sanjay bhaiya.” Later that evening, Sanjay’s family arrived to meet Shalini, setting the stage for what would become an arranged marriage. Shalini fondly reflected on this moment, stating, “It was an arranged marriage but… my husband is my universe.”
The story took an amusing twist as Shalini revealed that Sanjay’s family actually gatecrashed the wedding to meet her. “They came to the wedding. They gatecrashed my friend’s wedding to come and see me,” she explained. She expressed satisfaction in finding that connection with Sanjay, “I had told them that I wanted someone who does not drink, smoke, or gamble because I don’t do the same. I want somebody who is on the same wavelength. It was really wonderful to be with Sanjay, to meet him and his family. They are just amazing people.”
The couple’s relationship blossomed from this meeting. This mutual understanding laid a solid foundation for their relationship, which has flourished since their marriage in the early 2000s.
In addition to show, Shalini is known for her contributions as an art collector and art patron in Delhi. Her husband, Sanjay Passi, is the chairman of Pasco Group. Together, they are proud parents of their son, Robin Passi.
