The non-profit aims to raise $100 million to improve access to mental health resources for young people globally, a cause close to Gomez’s heart.

At the event held at Nya Studios WEST, Gomez wowed guests with a fitted one-shoulder frock that elegantly showcased her petite waist and toned legs. She completed the look with sleek black patent leather heels, exuding confidence and style as she mingled with guests. Through the Rare Impact Fund, Gomez’s non-profit is already making waves internationally. The organization has pledged to support 26 youth mental health organizations across five continents, including those in the United States, the UK, Europe, India, Brazil, and Australia. The expansive outreach reflects Gomez’s commitment to making mental health resources available to young people worldwide, particularly in areas with limited support.

Gomez’s dedication to mental health advocacy stems from her personal journey. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018, Gomez has been open about her struggles, which she candidly shared in her Apple TV+ documentary, “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.”

After a challenging period that included misdiagnosis and an over-reliance on medication, she ultimately found stability through a new treatment plan with the help of a psychiatrist. Gomez’s experience has since fueled her commitment to helping others navigate their mental health journeys.

In alignment with her mission, Gomez partnered with Sephora earlier this month for Mental Health Day, donating a portion of Rare Beauty sales to the Rare Impact Fund. One percent of Rare Beauty sales are routinely donated to support mental health initiatives, and the brand’s philanthropic arm receives further support through corporate partners, private donations, and the broader Rare community.

“The mental health crisis continues to impact young people disproportionately,” Gomez emphasized, adding that partnerships like the one with Sephora are critical to expanding access to essential mental health resources.

Through the Rare Impact Fund and her ongoing advocacy, Gomez is not only making an impact in the beauty world but also spearheading efforts to address mental health needs for young people worldwide.
