Despite all the injury woes the San Francisco 49ers have dealt with this season, they recently received some very good news regarding one player.

Rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who was shot in an armed robbery attempt just before the start of the regular season, is back at practice as a full participant, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

The first-round pick from the 2024 NFL Draft miraculously avoided a significant injury and was recently moved off injured reserve.

Pearsall wasn’t one of the more heralded wide receivers in this year’s star-studded draft, but the 49ers seem to have some real hope he can eventually turn into a star.

He was placed on injured reserve after the shooting, and the 49ers have three weeks to promote him to the active roster or he won’t be able to play at all this season.

The Niners already have a very solid wideout duo of Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, as well as a solid third WR in Jauan Jennings, who has blossomed this season as another offensive threat.

In Week 7, San Francisco hosts the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl, and a win would go a long way to providing some good news that has been in short supply since training camp.
