Queen Camilla made a heartfelt gesture for Duchess Sophie at a glitzy event that took place in Buckingham Palace on November 19.
The Queen Consort made her first public appearance after bidding a sad farewell to her rescued dog Beth.
Dressed in a beautiful Fiona Clare blue and black patterned dress, Camilla joined King Charles as he hosted a grand Diplomatic Corps Reception reception, which was attended by 1,500 guests from around 130 different countries.
GB reported that the Queen wore “Five Aquamarine Tiara, previously owned by Queen Elizabeth II but had since been loaned to Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.”
For the unversed, Sophie is known as the ‘secret weapon’ of the royal family especially after she stepped up her official engagements due to King Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.
Previously, royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine, “She may look like the perfect English rose: demure, understated and genteel – but she is also a tigress when it comes to championing women’s rights… and I love that about her.”
Notably, Queen Camilla also seemingly took inspiration from Sophie as she featured in a doucmentary, raising awareness about domestic abuse.
Moreover, the royal commentator said that King Charles’ sister-in-law “doesn’t complain and demand,” but she just “gets on with supporting [the monarch] when asked, and with pursuing her interests the rest of the time.”
