Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have reportedly bought a new property in Portugal, are said to be mulling to say goodbye to Montecito after their pals exit from the town.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have planned to ‘Stay Close’ to Ellen DeGeneres as the renowned Tv presenter has relocated to the UK, Harry’s birth country.
DeGeneres’
The former talk show host’s plan to ditch the US after Donald Trump’s presidential win has reportedly encouraged the Sussex to take the decisive step about their future location.
A source told In Touch that the California couple see their good friend’s expatriation as a chance to squeeze their way back into Britain high society.
The comedian, 66, has reportedly been itching to leave the United States since The Ellen DeGeneres Show was cancelled and her latest Netflix comedy special For Your Approval bombed.
“This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special I’m done,” she told an audience during a July stop of her farewell stand-up tour. “I’m going bye-bye.”
DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have reportedly sold their Carpinteria, California, estate, the second property in the area they unloaded this year, for $96 million.
The two have also listed a third home they own in nearby Montecito in November, hoping to offload any reason to return to the United States. With the move well underway.
The insider claims the Sussex are “losing them is pretty upsetting,” as “Ellen and Portia have been absolute rocks for Meghan and Harry from the moment they moved to California.”
“They helped them get settled in Montecito and introduced them to so many great people, they’re such a huge part of Meghan and Harry’s circle.”
Meghan and Harry have allegedly toyed with the idea themselves since the election, as they see no future of their children in the US.
