Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stir the pot in latest ‘elitist’ scuffle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing new criticism following the release of a German documentary, Harry: The Lost Prince, which accuses the couple of hypocrisy in their transition from senior royals to charity advocates.

The program sheds light on the perceived disconnect between the couple’s lavish lifestyle and their role as champions of social causes.

It points out their trips to economically struggling countries like Nigeria and Colombia, where they were seen wearing expensive designer clothing, raising eyebrows among critics.

Royal reporter Russell Myers supports the documentary’s claims, stating: “If you’re visiting places with vast socio-economic issues, wearing tens of thousands of pounds in designer clothing sends the wrong message.”

Additionally, the documentary notes the couple’s admission that they only dedicate about an hour per week to their charity, Archewell.

It also draws attention to a sharp $11 million drop in donations to the organization, with contributions plummeting from $13 million in 2021 to just $2 million in 2022.

The couple’s Netflix series and Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare have been at the center of the controversy.

One notable critic is Ben McBean, a British veteran who lost his left arm and right leg in an Afghanistan landmine blast in 2008.

Reflecting on Harry’s recounting of an altercation with his brother, Prince William, McBean expressed his dismay, saying: “I was just like, ‘Mate, just leave it out.'”

He shared a flight home with Harry after their service in Afghanistan, suggested that the prince should have refrained from airing personal grievances in his book.
