Odds Show A Clear Favorite To Win NFL MVP This Season

The Baltimore Ravens are rolling through eight weeks of the 2024 NFL season and look like one of the few legitimate threats to the Kansas City Chiefs’ three-peat hopes.

The Ravens are coming off a Week 7 victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a 41-31 shootout that exemplifies their ability to win in multiple ways.

Baltimore has the personnel to outscore just about any team while the defense can lock down opposing offenses when needed.

Fueling this surge is reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, who is arguably playing the most complete football of his career.

It’s hard to imagine how Jackson is playing better than last year’s MVP campaign, but the quarterback has been more efficient with the football and trusts backfield running mate Derrick Henry to carry the offense when needed.

With how impressive Jackson has looked, it’s not surprising that he’s the clear betting favorite to again take home MVP honors, via The 33rd Team.

With +200 odds, Jackson is favored to win his third MVP award, though Patrick Mahomes isn’t far behind at +470 as the Chiefs are the lone undefeated team remaining entering Week 8.

Meanwhile, Josh Allen (+650), Jared Goff (+700) and Jordan Love (+1200) round out the top five and could jump up the odds boards if they can string together some more wins.

The rest of the group are considered long shots nearing the midway point of the 2024 season, though it only takes one run from a team for a player to jump into the MVP conversation.
