Momo Aloo Patty Topped With Namkeen, Ketchup: Would You Want To Try?

How much momo is too much momo? It’s never enough. Right? After all, it’s the super-hit street food we are talking about. Well, not many would disagree that momo is not just a street food snack, it’s an emotion. The piping hot dumplings, served with hot red sauce and a bowl of mayonnaise, scream delicious from miles away. With each bite, the wonderful layering of flavours explode in our mouth. Relatable, did we hear?  And, the best part is, we get a variety of momos around. From the tandoori twists to the gravy ones, the list is long. Well, now, we have come across a unique version of momo. It is a combination of momo and aloo patties. You read that right! The video has been shared on the Instagram page ‘Foodpandits’.

In the video, a person is seen cutting aloo patty from the middle. He then adds two pieces of steamed momos to it and mashes it. For the desi twist, he tops it with namkeen, tomato ketchup and red hot momo sauce. Voila! Here is momo patty ready to be relished.

This unique (read: bizarre) combination left the internet confused. Some even found this food combination hard to digest!

A person wrote, “Thoda sa ambhuja cement daal dete toh or swad aajata [You should have added cement for extra flavour].”

Another said, “I would like to apologise to aloo patty from my fellow human being for this crime. RIP aloo patty.”

“Maida hi maida” was the sentiment on social media.

Amidst all these, a person was seen supporting the fusion. He said, “I think it will be nice. I also like momos and aloo patties.”

“Why can’t people have aloo patties and momos separately?” asked a user. A person pointed at the price aspect of the street snack. He wrote, “This is how you sell something new and costly… 5 ki cheej 150 mein. (a five-rupee food is being sold for 150 rupees!).”
