The Los Angeles Lakers have found a hidden gem.
Training camp invitee Quincy Olivari was quite impressive in the preseason, and he’s officially earned his spot in the league.
The Lakers signed the Xavier product to a two-way contract, and it seems like he’s got LeBron James’ stamp of approval.
As shown by LakeShowYo on X, James took to Instagram to show his support for the undrafted rookie.

The 23-year-old first introduced himself to the NBA world by scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter to spark a comeback win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Besides his efficient shooting, Olivari impressed the coaching staff and fans with his defensive prowess and willingness to put his body on the line on every 50-50 ball.
In a corresponding move, the Lakers will waive second-year C Colin Castleton to open a spot for him.
The Lakers have a very good player development staff, and while Olivari might not be a steady contributor to the rotation and will have to spend plenty of time in the G-League because of his two-way contract, they clearly liked what they saw from him.
Also, there’s always a chance they will end up converting his two-way contract into a standard deal if he continues to impress.
