In just a few weeks, Klay Thompson will return to Chase Center in San Francisco, but this time he will be playing against the Golden State Warriors.

Draymond Green recently said he would “run through” Thompson’s chest during their first game as opponents.

But speaking to Rachel Nichols, Thompson didn’t sound too worried about that.

“I’ll take the two free throws. I’m a pretty tough guy – I think I can handle it,” Thompson said, before adding that he made a lot of great memories at Chase Center and thinks that could help him perform well, even though he will be attempting to beat the Warriors.

Thompson’s Dallas Mavericks will play against the Warriors on November 12.

This will be the first time that Thompson is with his former team and it is sure to be a night of big emotions.

Thompson had a lot of wonderful times with Golden State, winning four championships and becoming a legend of the franchise.

He did so much for the team that it’s likely he will be very well-received during that game in November.

Fans were upset to see Thompson leave but they understood why he was striking out on his own.

Thompson’s last few seasons with the Warriors had been troubled and complicated, with him producing less on the court and obviously having shooting problems.

It made sense for him to pack up and try to start a new chapter with another team.

Even though the fans will welcome Thompson back, they will also actively root against him.

As for Green, he will surely play his hardest against Thompson but he still deeply cares for his former teammate.

That means any on-court altercations won’t be too bad.
