King Charles has seemingly broken his silence after being hackled in Australian parliament.
On October 21, the royal family shared the monarch’s emotional message from his headline-making visit to Australia’s Parliament House in Canberra.
In a video, the King and Queen Camilla can be seen receiving a warm welcome upon their arrival. The royal couple greeted the crowd standing outside the building.
During his speech to the parliamentarians, King Charles said, “When we turn our steps homeward, we will carry memories of friendships renewed, of new ones forged and of the characteristic warmth and inimitable humour of Australians which you share with those who are fortunate enough to know you.”
Notably, His Majesty’s message came just a few hours after MP Lidia Thorpe verbally attacked the monarch, shouting, “You are not my King.”
The indigenous woman shouted, “Give us what you stole from us, our boys, their skulls, their babies and people who destroyed our lives. Give us the treaty. We want a treaty in this country. You are a death, Solomon. This is not your land. It’s not your land.”
Moreover, the King of England issued this new statement after it was reported that he left a lunch hosted in his honour within 10 minutes, sparking his health concerns.
