The Los Angeles Lakers will likely make some modifications this season, it’s just a matter of when.

It’s also a matter of who, because it’s not obvious which stars general manager Rob Pelinka will pursue to improve his roster.

According to Anthony Irwin, per NBACentral, the Lakers have their eyes set on several players.

Irwin reported that they are looking at Kyle Kuzma, Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Walker Kessler, and Bruce Brown, among others.

He also noted that they are thinking about Zach LaVine, currently of the Chicago Bulls, who “played well in his return from surgery last year.”

Lakers fans might be awfully nervous to hear this news about LA and LaVine.

Last season, LaVine put up 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.

Those are admirable numbers but LaVine has some problems that fans are far too aware of.

Firstly, he has been having injury issues lately.

For example, he only played in 25 games last season.

Secondly, he comes with a massive contract and that is something the Lakers would have to work with.

Is he worth the money they’d spend, especially if his availability is a question mark because of his injuries?

LaVine could bring some positives to the team and he might work excellently alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

There are upsides to the idea of him in Los Angeles.

But he’s obviously not the only player the front office is considering so LaVine’s move to the west coast isn’t guaranteed.

However, the Lakers are looking to make some moves this season and aren’t content to keep their roster the same in the months ahead, and that is something fans are excited to hear.
