In a latest on the crime, a private bank was swindled of money worth crores by fraudsters pretending to be from the company. Here are all the details of the report.

A case was registered with the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police filed by the bank. As per more reports, the private bank in question is Axis Bank, while the incident reportedly took place at one of its branches.

The scammer introduced themselves as an official of the company and requested the bank to change the registered mobile number in their account. They then also made another suspicious request to the bank, asking them for access to corporate Internet banking. So, when they got access to the bank through Internet banking, the scammers started transferring the money from the bank’s account to several other accounts.

The reports add that the transactions made amounted to a transfer of nearly Rs 9 crore, which was done between the dates of July 10 to August 30.
