The New York Giants made a questionable move during the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting wide receiver Malik Nabers with the No. 6 overall pick rather than making a serious push to find quarterback Daniel Jones’ successor, especially with so many franchise-caliber quarterbacks available.

However, Nabers has been as advertised in his first four NFL games and has shown that he has the potential to be an elite receiver in the league, which is a promising sign for the Giants, who desperately needed a boost on offense following the departure of running back Saquon Barkley.

Unfortunately, during the NFC East showdown with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, Nabers went down with a concussion after catching a career-high 12 passes for 115 receiving yards, which has resulted in the talented rookie missing the past two games against the Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals.

Although that was considered a devastating blow to the offense, the Giants split those two games, putting them at 2-4 coming into the Week 7 matchup against Barkley and the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Nabers has been listed as a full participant in practice but is also now dealing with a groin injury, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

Even though the groin issue isn’t great news for Nabers, the fact he is back practicing is a step in the right direction, but he remains questionable for the game.

If Nabers is on the field, it would dramatically increase the Giants’ chances of taking down their arch-rivals in Barkley’s return to MetLife Stadium.
