The Los Angeles Dodgers have taken a two-game to zero series lead over the New York Yankees in the World Series.

On Saturday, the Dodgers defeated the Yankees by a score of four to two in game two.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto was awarded the win as he dominated the Yankees lineup in the biggest game of his career.

Dodgers’ slugger Teoscar Hernandez sent a clear message about Yamamoto after his game two performance.

“He was made for those moments,” Hernandez said.

Yamamoto threw 6.1 innings allowing one hit, one earned run, and two walks while striking out four and earning the win against the Yankees in game two.

The Dodgers rookie pitcher had one of his best starts of the season in the biggest game of his Major League Baseball career.

Hernandez did his part in the Dodgers’ win as well as he hit a two-run home run in the third inning, which ended up being the game-winning run.

The Dodgers take a two-to-zero series lead back to the Bronx for game three on Monday.

Walker Buehler will take the mound for the Dodgers as he will look to replicate the performance by Yamamoto in game two.

The Dodgers are seeking their eighth World Series title in franchise history and their first since 2020 in the Covid-shortened season.

Although they have a two-game series lead, the Dodgers will look to avoid giving the Yankees any momentum at home in game three on Monday.

Yamamoto could potentially get another start in the series depending on how the next games go.
