Brody Deiter scored three third quarter touchdowns in a span of less than seven minutes as Rancocas Valley pulled away to defeat Lenape, 42-21, in Medford.
Rancocas Valley led 14-7 when Deiter got his first TD, a 45-yard catch and run on a Sayvien Adams pass with 10:35 left in the third quarter. Just 14 seconds later, Deiter, a senior, returned an interception 42 yards for a score. The Adams to Deiter connection struck again when, on 4th-and-5, Adams found Deiter for a 36-yard TD. It was Deiter’s 15 receiving touchdown of the season.
Adams put Rancocas Valley (7-2) in front for good with a 9-yard TD run that made it 14-7 in the second quarter. Montre Wilson and Jameer Wilson each ran for a TD in the win, Rancocas Valley’s fourth in a row.
In defeat, Derrick Hammond ran the ball 21 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns for Lenape (1-8). Kellen Pierce added a 50-yard rushing score and Kyheem Freeman had a team-best nine tackles on defense..
