Cardi B is owning up to leaking her and ex Offset’s text messages.
After Offset’s private Instagram messages went public on December 14, Cardi quickly set the record straight on Twitter Spaces. The Bodack Yellow rapper revealed she intentionally shared the screenshot, shutting down rumours that his account had been hacked.
The messages, dated March 20, 2024, showed Offset accusing Cardi of infidelity, to which she fired back with allegations of her own.
“I would never get back with this n**a,” Cardi said bluntly on Twitter Spaces, “but I’m not even gonna lie, we’ve been peaceful for a week… I don’t bother you, you don’t bother me.”
The two, who secretly tied the knot in 2017, have had a rocky history filled with breakups and reconciliations, but they seem to be finding some common ground lately. Just a day after the messages leaked, Cardi and Offset celebrated his 33rd birthday in Miami. Videos from the party showed the pair laughing, tossing cash, and keeping things lighthearted.
Cardi’s honesty about posting the messages contrasts claims by HotNewHipHop that Offset’s account was hacked. She clarified that the texts were old and that she just wanted to be upfront with her fans.
Despite filing for divorce twice — most recently in July 2024 — the pair continue to co-parent their three kids: Kulture Kiari, Wave Set, and their newborn daughter.
