Bryce Dallas Howard is dreaming of a family collaboration.
During a panel at Steel City Con in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, on December 6, the 43-year-old actress revealed her desire to collaborate professionally with her Oscar-winning filmmaker dad, Ron Howard.
“I’ve never worked with him professionally as an actor, with dialogue and all of that,” Bryce, 43, shared. “But I want to. I want to very badly. And I would always sort of harass him about it. And now I’m like, ‘Let’s talk, dude.’”
Bryce, who grew up immersed in the world of filmmaking, reminisced about spending her childhood on her father’s movie sets. “My childhood was going and spending time with him on set,” she said, recalling moments like trying on the Splash mermaid tail and the Cocoon alien head.
Despite the fun, she noted that there were “rules and boundaries,” adding, “I felt so lucky to have had that experience.”
Ron Howard, known for directing classics like Apollo 13, The Da Vinci Code, and Solo: A Star Wars Story, inspired his daughter Bryce to carve out her own impressive career. She gained recognition with standout roles in The Village, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and the blockbuster Jurassic World series.
