Brian Windhorst Says 1 NBA Player Has No Ceiling

The San Antonio Spurs may not be a playoff team this season, but they will be must-watch television.

That’s the Victor Wembanyama effect.

The reigning Rookie of the Year is coming off a debut campaign for the ages, and expectations are even higher for his sophomore year.

At least, that’s how Brian Windhorst feels.

Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, the renowned insider claimed that he wanted everybody to realize that Wembanyama has no ceiling.

As much as he doesn’t see the Spurs winning 40+ games this season, he does expect them — as well as their stellar big man — to be better than last season.

Windhorst talked about Wembanyama’s combination of unmatched physical attributes and talent, impressive work ethic, and how fast he’s developing.

He thinks he might have a tough time winning MVP because of his team’s potential struggles, but the fact that he’s already a leading candidate for Defensive Player of the Year speaks volumes about his talent.

Wembanyama has the potential to be the most disruptive defensive force in the game in just his second season in the league.

On top of that, he’s someone who’s more than capable of putting up 25 points, grabbing 12 boards, and handing out 4 assists per game on any given night.

Wembanyama is the most unique player in the league by a significant margin, and it won’t be long before he’s the best player on Earth.
