The Cincinnati Bengals are trying to climb out of the hole they dug to start the 2024 NFL season.
They defeated the New York Giants on the road last week to improve to 2-4 and now have a rivalry game with the Cleveland Browns on tap in Week 7.
As the team continues to try to get better, it will continue to address the state of the roster.
According to the Bengals’ official site, they recently signed defensive end Raymond Johnson III to their practice squad.

Johnson is a fourth-year player out of Georgia Southern.
He originally signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted rookie and ended up playing 15 games for them, recording four tackles and one sack.
He then spent time with the Bengals before moving on to the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not play in a regular season game.
Johnson takes the place of edge-rusher Isaiah Thomas, who recently signed with the Lions.
It remains to be seen whether or not Johnson can make a real impact in his return to the Bengals, considering his journey as a young NFL player.
But the Bengals are off to a disappointing start and willing to do whatever it takes to get back into contention.
If they can find a way to take care of business against the rival Browns, things could start to look up in the race for an AFC playoff spot.
