The Kansas City Chiefs are still the Kansas City Chiefs it looks like.

They are currently sitting at 5-0 after the bye week and are set to face the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of the Super Bowl this week.

According to ESPN BET, Andy Reid-coached teams are 21-4 after the bye week in the regular season during his head-coaching career.

As things stand right now, the Chiefs are currently +105 underdogs vs the 49ers.

If NFL fans have learned anything over the last half-decade, it is that it’s probably not the wisest decision to bet against the Chiefs.

San Francisco is sitting at an uncharacteristic 3-3 record without All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey.

Now, they are coming off of a clutch road win over the Seattle Seahawks two Thursdays ago and have been able to take some extra time to prepare for this matchup.

If the 49ers were to find a way to pull off the win, they could start to be the team that a lot of people think they could be down the road.

No one would be surprised if Kansas City won this game because of the reputation that they have built up over the last handful of years.

The fact that the season is still only in October means that there is plenty of time for the 49ers to find themselves.

But, there is no doubt that a win over the Chiefs could be something of a springboard game for head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co.

This game is going to be fascinating from multiple points of view on both sides of the ball.
