Lighting up the runway with her presence, Lakme brand ambassador Ananya Panday celebrated fashion and beauty at the House of Lakmē Grand Finale in New Delhi.
A special moment for her, Ananya graced the runway in an exquisite ensemble designed by the czar of couture, Rohit Bal. Embroidered with the brand’s signature rose blooms and animals, the black velvet couture piece complemented Ananya with elan.
Sharing her excitement about closing Rohit Bal’s showcase, Ananya reminisces about the memories her parents, Bhavana Panday and Chunky Panday share with Rohit Bal. “
“My parents have known Rohit [Bal] sir for so long and they were like one person you need to work with is him,” expresses Ananya.
Ananya also shares a fun memory of how she stole a Rohit Bal blazer which belonged to her father. “My dad has a jacket which Gudda [Rohit Bal] made for my dad, which is a velvet blazer very similar to this [showstopper look], featuring embroidered roses and animals. I stole it from my dad’s closet. I treasure it and I am waiting for a special occasion to wear it.”
Ananya Panday when asked about what fashion tip she would like to share with her fans, Ananya was quick to say, “Just be yourself’. “Have fun and take time to fall back in love with yourself. Don’t listen to too many people around. That’s what I do,” adds Ananya.
Ananya’s gorgeous face was further enhanced with Lakme’s new collection line, Rouge Bloom. As the face of Lakmē, Ananya was quick to share that the brand has a product named after her, and it’s called ‘Blushing Bae’. Speaking about finding beauty in slowness, Ananya shared that we all need to kind of stop and take a second to appreciate things. And the Rouge Bloom captured the essence of life’s slow unfolding beauty—just like a flower in bloom.
Rohit Bal’s collection Kaaynaat reflected both the grace of nature and the enduring power of beauty on the runway. Ananya shared a special moment with Rohit on the runway. Speaking about the unforgettable showcase, Ananya shares, “The show was so powerful, so much fun and when sir [Rohit Bal] came on stage it was so emotional. You could feel the admiration people have for him. It is a moment I will never ever forget.”
