The Philadelphia Eagles were on top of the proverbial mountaintop during the 2022 season.

Both sides of the ball were firing on all cylinders, and it seemed like they had a surefire path to the Super Bowl.

They did end up making it to the big game, but they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs heartbreakingly.

Despite the loss, most pundits agreed that the Eagles were going to be the team to beat in the NFC for the foreseeable future.

Fast forward nearly two years, and that isn’t the case, at least at the moment.

The Eagles currently hold a 4-2 record, which doesn’t seem like they’re a bad team on paper.

They’ve taken care of business when they’ve needed to, but in a recent appearance on the “Ross Tucker Podcast,” Greg Cosell outlined his concerns for the team.

“They’re a difficult offense to watch right now. Jalen Hurts is not playing very good football… He’s just not seeing things clearly right now… That really handicaps and hamstrings your offense when your quarterback just can’t execute basic concepts,” Cosell said.

He doesn’t like watching the offense, particularly Jalen Hurts.

Hurts was viewed as a perennial MVP candidate at one point in his career, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

Cosell could be worried about his long-term value in the NFL and on the Eagles, especially if he keeps playing like this moving forward.

The Eagles can’t afford many mistakes, especially since the Washington Commanders are in a good position to contend for the NFC East title.
