Godavari Biorefineries: Godavari Biorefineries, a leading player in ethanol and bio-based chemicals, announced plans to invest Rs 130 crore in setting up a 200 KLPD (kilo litres per day) corn and grain-based ethanol distillery.
HDFC Bank: Private sector lender HDFC Bank has received an administrative warning letter from SEBI for alleged non-compliance with disclosure norms under the SEBI Listing Regulations.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation: HPCL’s board has approved a Rs 4,679 crore modernisation project at its Mumbai refinery. The project will boost lube oil base stock (LOBS) production from 475 KTPA to 764 KTPA and enhance output quality to superior-grade Group II+ and Group III LOBS, as per the company’s filing.
India Pesticides: India Pesticides stated that the Income Tax Department is conducting searches at its offices and premises.

RailTel Corp: RailTel Corp has received a Rs 38 crore work order from Central Warehousing Corp for SITC of CCTV, with a completion deadline of May 16, 2025.
Rail Vikas Nigam: RVNL received a Rs 270 crore order from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation for constructing elevated metro stations.
Swiggy and Zomato: The GST Council may reduce the tax on food delivery charges by e-commerce platforms from 18% to 5%.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering: Texmaco Rail & Engineering secured a Rs 187.41 crore order from Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Co. for transmission line construction on a turnkey basis, to be completed in 15 months.
Vedanta: Vedanta’s board has approved a fourth interim dividend of Rs 8.5 per share for FY25, amounting to Rs 3,324 crore. The record date is December 24.
Wipro: IT services giant Wipro announced the acquisition of Applied Value Technologies, Inc. and its affiliates in Singapore and the Netherlands. The acquisition will strengthen Wipro’s application services capabilities and create new growth opportunities.
