Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle, in the latest wave of backlash, has renewed criticism as critics argue this is just one of many stunts by the former Hollywood star.
The growing criticism raises concern whether the Duchess, 43, serves her ambitions more than her audience.
The Duchess of Sussex was dragged into a fresh row over her Children’s book that “flopped”.
The Duchess of Sussex 2021 children’s book, “The Bench, might have made a lot of headlines, but it didn’t sell well at all,” according to experts.
Prince Harry’s wife Meghan’s name came top of the list under the category “Celebrities whose children’s books have been flops.”
Since its release in 2021, 8,000 copies of the book have been sold in the UK, according to Nielsen Bookscan.
Based on a poem, the book was heavily criticised by Times critic Alex O’Connell, who thought it wasn’t well written, saying: “(it) lacks the crucial ingredients for a successful tale for this age group: a good story and a basic rhythm.”
The Duchess has also faced backlash from other writers who believe the former Suits star didn’t appreciate the art of children’s books.
She reportedly added £500,000 to her wealth for the 40-page collection about the bond between a son and his father.
The mother-of-two has penned the book herself shortly after the birth of Prince Archie.
