Chief Minister Pema Khandu has launched an extensive tourism programme aimed at highlighting the state’s natural beauty and unique cultural experiences.
This new initiative focuses on attracting production companies to film, promoting agricultural activities, supporting local wine production and boosting ecotourism. By inviting filmmakers, the state hopes to showcase its scenic beauty to a wider audience. The programme encourages visitors to participate in kiwi harvesting, sample locally produced wines and engage with ecotourism initiatives.

Arunachal Pradesh New Tourism Policy
Among the primary draws of the new tourism policy is the ‘Kiwi Owning and Kiwi Fruit Picking Experience’ in Ziro, Lower Subansiri area. Through a hands-on Kiwi farming experience, visitors will have the opportunity to engage with the local agricultural community. Through the Annual Timeshare Programme, visitors can buy a kiwi plant, strengthening their connection to nature and encouraging sustainable agricultural practices. This project would not only improve agriculture but also give local farmers more power.
