The star power in this World Series matchup is undeniable as Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts of the Dodgers take on Aaron Judge and Juan Soto of the Yankees.
It appears that the matchup of these two large market teams could be contributing to the spike in viewership.
With arguably some of the most popular players in Major League Baseball participating in this World Series, it makes sense that more fans are watching the games.
It will be interesting to see if the viewership stays high as the series progresses, especially if the Dodgers go up three games to zero with a win in game three on Monday.
The Dodgers are seeking their eighth World Series championship in franchise history with their last coming in 2020.
The Yankees are seeking their 28th World Series championship in franchise history with their last coming in 2009.
Games three and four will take place on Monday and Tuesday with game five scheduled for Wednesday if necessary.
