Former actor Somy Ali once shared details about her difficult relationship with Bollywood star Salman Khan through emotional social media posts. She explained that she had removed an earlier post on the topic because it contained harsh language. In her next post, she described Salman as someone who could be “extremely kind but also very cruel.”
Talking about her time with Salman, Somy referred to it as the “worst years” of her life. She revealed that he had numerous affairs and would often make her feel small by calling her “ugly, stupid, and dumb.” “Not a day went by that he wouldn’t make me feel worthless and small. He would not acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public for years, and when he finally did, he would insult me in front of his friends and berate me nonstop,” she wrote.
Somy also confessed that, due to his treatment, she sought comfort in other relationships, hoping to find love and care. Unfortunately, these men only used her, which made things worse. When Salman found out about her affairs, she claimed that he physically abused her and told her, “Only men can cheat, not women.” Somy expressed her shock at his words, calling them deeply sexist.

In another Instagram post, Somy spoke about Salman’s complex personality, mentioning his disputes with singer Arijit Singh and actor Vivek Oberoi. “Salman can be kind to pets or some actors but ruthless to others,” she wrote. She compared his behavior to Bill Clinton, who was admired as a president but had personal controversies, referencing the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Somy concluded by saying that while people might see Salman as generous and caring, her experience was the opposite. “He can be very good to some and extremely cruel to others. What I went through was on a different level, and after 20 years, it feels like it’s all happening again,” she wrote.
