After losing their season opener to Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 1, the Washington Commanders have become one of the hottest teams in the NFL, with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels putting on a show on a weekly basis as the new leader of the storied franchise.

The Commanders have won five of their last six games, with Washington proving to be the real deal in the NFC this season while also leading the way in the NFC East division, which is no easy task sharing the division with the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

Unfortunately for Washington, Daniels went down with a rib injury early in the win against the Carolina Panthers last week and didn’t return to the game, which caused a lot of concern for his health moving forward and when he might be able to get back on the field for the Commanders.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Daniels has officially been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears at Northwest Stadium in the nation’s capital.

Although it would be a shame for Daniels to miss this matchup against fellow rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, who was taken one pick before him in the 2024 NFL Draft, this is not a long-term injury for the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Undoubtedly, Daniels gives the Commanders a better chance to come out on top against the Bears on Sunday and would help the team make a statement against another good team in the NFC.
