According to Bhopal-based astrologer Pandit Yogesh Choure, there are certain remedies you can try before Diwali to reduce the impact of poverty. Chanting certain powerful mantras can also help alleviate financial hardships.
Remedies to Alleviate Poverty:
1. To drive away poverty, first keep your mind calm and maintain a positive outlook, which helps in keeping peace in the home.
2. Ensure that your home is clean, as Goddess Lakshmi is believed not to reside in unclean places. Clean up any mess or dirt before attempting to ward off poverty.
3. When placing a dustbin, never keep it near the main entrance of your home.
4. Along with keeping the house clean, ensure that your home temple, as well as the idols and pictures, are kept clean.
5. Offer water to a banana tree, but make sure to mix black sesame seeds in the water before offering.
6. Light a ghee lamp in every corner of the house, every evening after sunset. Clean all the drains in the house and sprinkle white salt on them before going to bed.
7. Perform prayers in a private space whenever possible. You can chant certain mantras to help remove poverty.
