Queen Camilla beamed in royal blue as she stepped out to support a charity that she holds close to her heart.
The wife of King Charles sat down with students from local schools as she inspired young individuals in Sydney.
The Buckingham Palace shared highlights from the event as Camilla went from table to table to engage in discussions with the children.
“Celebrating the intellect and creativity of young Aussies through outstanding writing!” the Palace wrote alongside a video from the event. “At Green Square Library, Her Majesty spent time with talented young Australians taking part in workshops with authors including @KylieLCaptain, @Matt.Cosgrove, @WillKostakis, @YvettePoshoglian, @ApsaraBaldovino and @SallyRippinAuthor.”
The Queen also met past winners of The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition which is recognised to be the oldest international school writing competition in the world, per the Palace.
They added that in 2024 “the competition received a record-breaking 34,939 entries.”
Camilla is a known avid reader and also founded the charity, The Queen’s Reading Room, which is a book club striving “to help more people find and connect with books which enrich their lives,” its website claims.
