After the dust settled on the 2024 NFL Draft, all the talk around the league was about incoming rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, who the lowly Chicago Bears drafted with the No. 1 overall pick.

The consensus was that Williams was the best player in the draft and had the potential to be a superstar and the first real franchise quarterback in Bears’ history, which is a significant reason why there was so much attention surrounding the former USC star.

However, throughout the first few games of the 2024 NFL regular season, fellow rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who was taken No. 2 overall by the Washington Commanders, has stolen the spotlight by being arguably one of the best players in the league this year at his position.

Daniels has exceeded expectations in his first season with the Commanders, as he is as poised as any quarterback in the league in the pocket, rarely makes mistakes, and clearly has a bright future in the NFL moving forward.

The LSU product has been so good in the early going of the 2024 campaign that he has helped the team win four out of the six games played heading into the Week 7 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Unfortunately, Daniels went down with a rib injury on Sunday and is currently listed as questionable to return, according to FOX Sports: NFL.

One of the primary concerns about Daniels as quarterbacks were being evaluated by NFL teams ahead of the draft was his size and style of play, which might make him more likely to get injured.

Up to this point, Daniels has been able to avoid injuries while playing like the best offensive rookie in the league thus far, but obviously, this is a concern.
