Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey this week nominated a veteran Worcester lawyer for a post in the state’s District Courts.
Stuart Hurowitz, the supervising attorney in the Worcester County Office of the Committee for Public Counsel Services, was one of two people nominated by Healey for judgeships last week. The other, Polly Phillips, worked in the Middlesex district attorney‘s office and the attorney general’s office before starting her own firm.
Healey‘s nomination of Hurowitz and Phillips moves to the Governor’s Council for approval.
