Prince Harry forced to take life-changing decision for Archie, Lilibet

Prince Harry eases Meghan Markle’s worries about Archie, Lilibet

Prince Harry is willing to pay a hefty price make sure his children, Prince Archie, five, Princess Lilibet, three, are not deprived of a major privilege.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently made an expensive purchase in Portugal, where Harry’s close cousin Princess Eugenie resides with her family.

Given the current financial situation of the Sussexes, buying a luxurious house in Europe may be costly for Harry, but it has a deeper motive behind it, according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond.

“I think it perhaps suggests that they DO want their children to know at least some of their UK family,” Bond told OK! magazine.

“It will be good for Archie and Lilibet to spend time with their little cousins, and Eugenie will remain an important link between Harry and the rest of his family.”

However, Bond also pointed out that Harry has complained on many occasions about “lack of money” which is why the decision to buy the holiday home comes as a surprise.

She also noted that Harry and Meghan could have “just stayed with Jack and Eugenie or rent a place” but the new home suggests that they “intend to spend more time on this side of the Atlantic.”

“And that’s a positive move because it implies that the children won’t be solely immersed in American culture and will have a better understanding of their European roots,” Bond said.

Previously, royal author Tom Quinn quoted Meghan’s UK pals, revealing that the Duchess “worries her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals.”
