Snoop Dogg Reveals New Nickname For Dalton Knecht

Thursday night’s preseason game was a big one for Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht.

He scored 35 points, including 20 consecutive ones, for the Lakers and helped them secure an overtime win over the Phoenix Suns.

Knecht did so well, in fact, that he caught the attention of all Lakers fans, including a very famous one.

According to “First Take”, via NBACentral, noted Lakers follower Snoop Dogg said he will now call Knecht “Westside Knecht.”

It might not seem like a big deal, but this is a sign that Knecht is truly being embraced by the Lakers and their fans.

Knecht proved a lot during Thursday’s game.

He was shooting better in every way, especially from three-point range.

Before the game against Phoenix, he was landing 27% of his threes in the preseason, but he went 8-of-13 from downtown.

He also shot 10-of-18 from the field.

In just about every way, Knecht improved his game.

Because of his performance, many more people are wondering what’s ahead for the young star.

Will the rookie get a lot of minutes during the regular season or will head coach JJ Redick only use him sparingly?

It’s hard to tell, especially because preseason games are so different from regular season ones.

But Knecht impressed everyone during Thursday’s game and there is no doubt that Redick took note.

Snoop Dogg isn’t the only person who is blown away by Knecht and if he continues to play like this, he will have the entire fanbase loyally behind him.
