    Paramus Catholic bests Dwight-Englewood in Bergen County Invit. 1st rd – Girls soccer



    Nadia Calatayud posted a hat trick to lead 16th-seeded Paramus Catholic in a 7-0 win over 33rd-seeded Dwight-Englewood in the first round of the Bergen County Invitational Tournament, in Paramus.

    The Paladins (10-4) will face ninth-seeded Glen Rick in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

    Amy Marcelo and Emily Falcone each posted a goal and an assist while Isabella Estrada and Abbie Tejeda also scored.

    Amelia Brueggemeier made seven saves to earn the clean sheet.

    Dwight-Englewood fell to 7-8.
