The Chicago Bears are off to a surprising 4-2 start this season thanks to the play of their defense and the growth of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.

Bears Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson recently joined Up & Adams to talk about what has impressed him the most about Williams so far.

“Being comfortable with speaking up…At certain times, you gotta tell them how you feel…For him to come in and blend in with the captains and the leadership is a heck of a thing to see,” Johnson said Wednesday.

Not only is Williams getting more and more comfortable speaking up in team meetings, but he is becoming more and more of a threat on the field.

On Chicago’s current three-game winning streak, the former Heisman winner has had a passer rating of over 106.0 in each game, including back-to-back games with a passer rating of over 120.0.

The Bears have won four games this season, but they have all come against one-win teams in the Titans, Rams, Panthers, and Jaguars.

That is why the jury is still out on this Bears team.

However, seeing success in the NFL should not be dismissed so easily regardless of who it comes against.

Especially for a Bears franchise that has struggled on offense for the better part of this century, fans seeing their quarterback come to play and play well on Sundays is a beautiful thing.

Now on the bye week, the Bears will take some time off before they get ready to face a very talented Commanders team on the road two Sundays from now.
