When Ja Morant became a legitimate superstar in the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies started to become a real threat in the Western Conference and seemed to turn heads on a daily basis as the team came together under the new face of the franchise.

However, it became pretty evident that this team couldn’t get it done without their superstar healthy and on the basketball floor on a nightly basis during the NBA season, as he played in only nine games last season after serving a 25-game suspension.

Morant created a lot of concern for the once-promising Grizzlies, as he seemed to make some poor decisions off the floor, which prompted the NBA to take action.

However, with Morant only just turning 25 and having a potentially long career in the league ahead of him, the Grizzlies have a chance to bounce back during the upcoming 2024-25 campaign, as long as their superstar is bought in and ready to reclaim his status as one of the best guards in the game.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Morant is heading into the upcoming season focused and ready to prove his worth to the team.

“I do think Ja Morant is going into this year really believing that this is his time. Everyone I’ve talked to around Memphis has told me he’s extremely focused,” Charania said.

If Morant can get back to form as one of the best guards in the league, the Grizzlies could make some noise during the upcoming season and potentially reclaim the status of being a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference.

However, the West has only improved, so it’ll be no easy task for Memphis, as there will be a small margin for error.
