Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat doesn’t have much to prove anymore because he is easily one of the most important players for his team and one of the most powerful big men in the league.

Of course, there are still parts of his game that could be improved and Adebayo is trying.

Speaking to the press and Zachary Weinberger, per ClutchPoints, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said that Adebayo is attempting to improve his three-point shooting.

“It’s growing. I would say last year at this time he was already making them at a pretty high level in the practice setting… I think he’ll be able to step right in and take those kind of shots,” Spoelstra said.

Spoelstra’s comments came after the Heat participated in a preseason scrimmage on Monday night.

During that match, Adebayo showed off his three-point skills.

He attempted 11 three-pointers and made 5 of them, which is a pretty impressive record even though it was just a scrimmage.

It’s not that surprising for anyone who has been paying attention to Adebayo.

Last season, he had a three-point percentage of 35.7%, which is easily higher than any other season.

He will never be the most efficient three-point star for the Heat but can steadily improve this skill and help out his team in some new, important ways.

The Heat need as much assistance as possible and want to become more well-rounded.

Adebayo has already been such a force because of his size and power.

If he can bolster his three-point shooting too, he will be a true threat in multiple ways.
