Ever since Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams asked to be traded last week, there has been lots of speculation about where he may be headed.

The New York Jets and New Orleans Saints are seemingly his two preferred destinations since they have quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr, both of whom are former teammates of his.

The Washington Commanders have also been mentioned as a possible suitor for Adams, but per the Athletic’s Tashan Reed, they’re out of the running.

Adams’ numbers have been down a bit since last season, but even at age 31, he’s still the type of legitimate star who can make a big impact on a team.

He has made the Pro Bowl six times in his career, and in three games this year, he has caught 18 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown.

The Commanders have been one of the NFL’s most surprising teams this season, as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has quickly blossomed and spearheaded them to a 4-1 record.

What they have done is even more impressive when one considers the fact that they don’t have a legitimate alpha wide receiver, although veteran Terry McLaurin has been a solid option in their passing game.

Adams is at the point of his career where a trade to a team that would be a Super Bowl contender with him makes the most sense.

It is very debatable whether the Saints or especially the Jets would become contenders with him, but at the very least, playing for either team would mean catching passes from a quarterback he has played with in the past.
